Devotion through Psalms #4

Confidence in God

Psalms 3:1-8

1 LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! 2 Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.” 3 But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. 4 I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain. 5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.
6 I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side. 7 Arise, LORD! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. 8 From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.
Dry your weary eyes and rise up, joy comes in the morning
During this lifetime I can’t count on my fingers how many people are going to want to see you fail. If you’re sick some people may even look at it as ” if they are Christian then why aren’t they healed”. If you are going through a crisis in your life they may say “Well, I thought their help comes from God, why hasn’t he helped”. This will not go away, some people will be for you and some won’t. You just have to overcome the word of mouth and find more confidence in God.
Just because we are saved doesn’t stop us from being human! We go through the same life struggles as everyone else, but God does provide us with a way out. Yes, people may not like the way we live or whatever reason why they feel the way they do, we can’t help that. God will protect us from our enemies, but let not your heart be troubled. Keep your eyes focused on where your help comes from. Having enemies are just another distraction to keep you from excelling in God, the devil wants to see them get under your skin and cause you to break down and lose confidence in yourself and in God.
God has given you the authority, to rise up. Don’t let your confidence in what God can do for you waver, be un-moveable.Don’t let people who misuse you, or dislike you shake or break what God has blessed you with. God will never leave you or forsake you children of God.
Be Blessed
