Meditation: I, Forgive Myself

I, Forgive Myself

Many of us are always forgiving others for what they do but we end up neglecting one person that needs the most forgiving yourself.  We carry life’s scars and battles on our shoulders and never notice how much they weigh us down until we are stressed out and ready to tap out. Some believe they have forgiven themselves but yet they still talk negatively to themselves. Negative talk holds us back and causes us to be bound. God said he forgives you and forgets it so why don’t we do the same also? I get that this world is harsh and it will constantly bring up your past as a reminder of who you were, how you were and what you did but one thing it can’t control is your future. I, Forgive Myself

God holds your future and there is so much to gain from releasing all the baggage that continues to hold you back. You can’t go back to change what happened, but you can start the healing process now. Each of us has a testimony to tell and a life story to share that can help the next person going through a similar situation. Your past is someone’s present, forgive yourself today and allow your healing process to begin.

How can I work on forgiving myself:

  1. Remember: You can’t change the Past– We can’t re-do our past but we can re-create a new journey, it’s our life we made mistakes and things happened that we couldn’t control. We are still our own director we have the power to change it and control what happens now.
  2. Love who you are now– Sometimes we find it hard to love ourselves at this moment because the past is still lingering on us. You may not be where you want to be yet, but love who and where you are today.
  3. Fill your life with positive energy-  Learn to get rid of the negative self-talk, put post-its all over your house of positive affirmations. Fill your squad circle with positive people, go positive places and continue to do positive things that bring love and joy into your life.

What positive things have you done to overcome something?

He Fights For You

I was driving home from work a few nights ago and was thinking to myself about how sometimes we may feel like we are getting tugged back and forth. We are getting tossed and torn because it’s a battle going on for us. We could be in a wonderful place in our lives and within seconds get torn down and back into a slump.

Remember when you were a kid and you had this special toy that you really admired. Think how you felt when your older or younger sibling or cousin began to play with it. You would step us against them and begin to play a game of tug of war and you may say “It’s mine or I had it first. I began to wonder if that’s how God feels about us.

God created us in his image, we all were his first since birth. Since we were born in sin it immediately became a game of tug of war. God has this plan to prosper you and not to harm you when satan has the plan to deceive you and destroy you.

There are so many things happening in our lives right now that we are feeling torn and worn out and ready to throw in the towel because of the tugging is greater than we ever imagined it would be. The enemy wants to hold onto you like a leech for as long as he can because if he let’s go he knows what’s at stake. You know those cops that get into blind spots and hurry up and cut off their lights so they can catch you when you least expect it. That’s just like your enemy, he wants to hide in the dark and catch you slipping.

Where there is evil there is good, sorrow there is joy, pain there is a comfort, the enemy there is God and he is fighting for you much more than the enemy is because he knows the plans he has for you, he knows your potential, nothing good can come from evil. He knows that if you surrendered all how much he can do in your life, but he is aware that the enemy is on his job as well. So he tugs even harder because he is jealous for you!

Life’s challenges won’t stop, but God provides you with tools to help you get through them. He wants you all to himself, just like you wanted your favorite toy all to yourself. You are his favorite so if you can feel the tug know that God is fighting for you. He doesn’t want to see you give up, he doesn’t want you to feel alone. He’s saying “I’m right here, my child”. The voice is there, you just have to listen and let him guide you on the right path.

Mediatation of the Week

Leave a Print

There is always someone in the world that needs to be inspired, encouraged or helped in other ways. So, that means a job in this field will always be open. The reasons we go through things in life and make it through are not just for the up building of our faith but for others as well. So when we are blessed we try to be blessings to others. I don’t know your calling but you do, and with that calling change the world. Become great at what you do and put forth all your blood, sweat, and tears into it.

When you leave this earth and everytime someone mentions your name, they should smile and have a good report. They should be able to keep your legacy alive because God saw fit to give you a gift that would change minds, hearts, and souls of many. Reach deep down into your inner self, find what you love and blossom.

As you go through this week think on this:

Are you doing something that is going to leave a special print in the lives of many people?

Devotion through Psalms #2

quotes_creator_20161029_135001Separate the Wheat from the Chaff

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

                                                                                      Psalms 1:3-6

Every road has a different path; left, right, narrow and wide. Not every path creates growth, some paths weigh you down and stunt your growth. Many of us are living lives that eat away at our happiness because we chose our own paths without carefully thinking where it would lead us. I am talking about two paths; positive and negative.

Are we living a life deeply rooted in a positive atmosphere filled with love and happiness and being watered daily so that we are able to prosper and be successful at everything we do? Or are we living a  negative life that causes us to build hate in our hearts, where nothing has the chance to grow? Sometimes in our lives we need to separate the wheat from the chaff, there are a lot of dead things that we are holding on too that we need to let go. We can’t keep digging up and planting the same thing if it’s not producing  fruit. We must let it go and plant something that is going to be of good service in our lives that is deeply rooted and shall prosper bringing forth great things.

Remember: Don’t give power to something or someone who isn’t worth it.

Are you living a positive life?

Blessings

If I Perish, I Perish.

I always pray before reading my bible and just flip it open anywhere and begin to read. Nothing happens by chance to me especially when it comes to the bible. So, there was Esther chapter 4:16 I began to read it and there I, was amazed and even more empowered by another woman in the bible. They called her Esther.

Esther risked her life to see the king. Am I any better than Esther? Here she is this young woman standing up for her people not letting fear control her. She laid her life on the line, that means everything she had didn’t have much value as much as her voice did. She was a courageous woman taking a stand for what she believed in. Not letting anyone back her out of it. She put forth her faith took a stand and went forth.

Are we truly taking a stand for what we believe in? Are we telling the world to pray for me I am going on a mission and if I happen to perish don’t worry I, am not afraid. Are we doing what God is telling us to do, or are we standing in the dark hoping for the King to spot us out in a crowd of billions; or are we standing on the front line spreading Gods message and completing out our mission God has assigned us. God is looking for an Esther; to lay everything aside and tell the world if I perish let me perish, but my King has a mission for me and I can no longer be afraid.

Are you taking a stand?

Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish

Rest in Me My Love

You open your eyes after falling asleep maybe 3 hours ago, it’s time for the kids to go to school. You slowly move to get out of bed because your body aches, don’t let the weather be shifting outside or you may wake up stiff too. Your feet hit the floor and you say “Oh God, please help me”.

Most chronic pain sufferers start their day this way, it’s hard to have pain day after day. Having to be a regular on the doctors’ visit list. Having to take pain meds that mostly make you sleep and you miss out on daily living. Having tears drop and you hurry up and wipe them away because you don’t want your family to see the hurt inside.

This morning I, open my eyes and asked God for something encouraging to say to you all today. Something that you can hold on too, He whispered to me”Rest in Me, My Love”. When He said, my love, my heart sank, not just rest in me but, you are His love, the apple of His eye.

God loves us so much, never forget His love is never-failing. May He wrap you in His loving arms.

Blessings and Happy Wednesday 💜

Devotion through Psalms #1

I was sitting on my bed, and decided to start a devotional journey. I am a young woman speaking from my heart, I will be writing whatever flows out. I will be doing a devotional through psalms, proverbs and job to start my journey and  finish 2016 and the ending of 2017.

Is the Grass Greener or Artificial?

1. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth, he meditates day and night.

Psalms 1:1-2

Are your eyes focused on the people who have more money, bigger house, driving a fancy car, better marriage or maybe even better health than you? In Psalms 1:1 it says “Blessed is the man”… The man who walks in God’s word not gazing or making a wish list for something you’ve seen someone else have. But the man that is happy and content with where he is in his/her life and what God has currently blessed them with. Sometimes it can be difficult not to glance over at their grass wishing for better, but it would be hurtful to get there and realize everything was artificial.

Artificial because they didn’t use the necessary tools to grow their grass the right way. Instead, they took a different path; went to the store and bought their own grass to make it seem as if they took the time and effort to grow it. I say this because many of us are looking over at artificial grass it looks nice and green but it’s really dead underneath. No, fertilizer was ever planted just dirt covered up by material happiness.

Our happiness comes from God during any situation we can dig into God’s word water ourselves and grow. Real happiness is deep down within, it can’t be covered with material things. We must take time and effort and patiently wait for our own grass to grow by meditating day and night on God’s word.

What makes you happy?

Faith During the Race of Chronic Illness

Chronic Illness can weigh you down and may be the biggest race you have to run in this life because it is long-lasting. Day after day we suffer from pain that disables us on the outside, but most importantly on the inside. Pain causing you to think differently, react differently and hope differently.

Think back to when you were feeling at your greatest in your body and the way it made you feel. We all want that back, but I wonder if it was meant to be. Not to be in pain forever no one wants that, but to be in a long enough season to reach certain people. People who are hurting just like us, who feel like all hope is lost.

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

Galatians 6:2

We are here to sympathize with others going through similar situations and be of help to them. Even when we are weak ourselves there is still a work to be done. When others become weak and fatigue during this race, we will step in and give them hope and inspire them. Let them know you are not alone, but we are in this together.

Prayer for today:

Dear God, today I stand in the gap for those who are not able to even pray for themselves, the one’s who feel all hope is lost, the one’s who feel like you have turned your back on them. I pray that you give them strength to hold on to life and to press through this trying season. ” By His stripes, we are healed” and God I believe on your word. Being sick is never an easy burden to carry, you said you wouldn’t put more on us than we could bare. God heal the fatigue, confusion, muscle aches, hurting bones, headaches, stomach problems all of the infirmities that are not of you.  I put all of those illnesses on the cross today and leave them in your hands, In Jesus name.

Amen.

Be helper one to another 🙂
