There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 COR 10:13
This week I found it hard to post, I was busy with work and by the time I came home I was dog tired.Even when I woke in the morning I was still so fatigued, I was tempted to just give up because I couldn’t seem to find time to write.
Some of you may be tempted to give up your dreams because other things are becoming overwhelming and your dream doesn’t look as bright as it use too. God always makes a way of escape if he has given you the mind to start your dream, he will give you the mind to finish it. He knows your limits and what you can handle, you are strong! We just have to set aside a few things weighing us down.
Unfortunately, I can’t lay aside my job because I want to write but he does give me strength and the mindset to avoid other temptations and prioritize my weeks. He wouldn’t keep my mind full of ideas if he didn’t provide me with the right tools. He wouldn’t place a marvelous idea in your head if he knew it wouldn’t manifest. All God is doing is raising the bar because he knows your potential, sometimes the biggest accomplishments blossom under pressure.
This week know that your dreams will manifest in due time, keep working hard at it and stay positive. Great things arise in positive atmospheres.
Have A Great Week!
Life has its ups and downs so, I know if you are human you will have a few storms in your life. These storms can be small and all the way up to life-threatening storms and we try to handle things all on our own. I’ve been there and found out that trying to handle these storms on my own I start to get weak and burnt out because I am relying on just my physical help. I can try and try but when it is all said and done, I hit a dead end and there is nowhere to run and then I’m all out of answers.
In the bible, the disciples had a situation that needed immediate attention or their lives could have been lost. They were in a storm that was ready to destroy their lives, but they knew a man named Jesus ( a name that’s powerful than any name) they call upon the name of the Lord. He came out and told the storm “Peace Be Still”, and the storm ceased, God said unto them why are you so fearful, do you not have faith? We don’t have to handle our storms by our self, we have to become more like the disciples and call on Jesus. One thing we must have is faith, do not be afraid. Our storms are raging and ready to take us out, but we have something special on our side we just have to utilize Him. We have to be strong and stand firm on God’s word so we are able to stand and tell our storms “Peace Be Still” in Jesus name without fear, but with boldness.
Mark 4:39-40 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is that ye have no faith?
Our storms may frighten us and the wind may be strong, but continue to stand on God and remember what Jesus says ” Where is your faith?” Stand firm and point out your storms by name and tell them where to go.
Separate the Wheat from the Chaff
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Every road has a different path; left, right, narrow and wide. Not every path creates growth, some paths weigh you down and stunt your growth. Many of us are living lives that eat away at our happiness because we chose our own paths without carefully thinking where it would lead us. I am talking about two paths; positive and negative.
Are we living a life deeply rooted in a positive atmosphere filled with love and happiness and being watered daily so that we are able to prosper and be successful at everything we do? Or are we living a negative life that causes us to build hate in our hearts, where nothing has the chance to grow? Sometimes in our lives we need to separate the wheat from the chaff, there are a lot of dead things that we are holding on too that we need to let go. We can’t keep digging up and planting the same thing if it’s not producing fruit. We must let it go and plant something that is going to be of good service in our lives that is deeply rooted and shall prosper bringing forth great things.
Remember: Don’t give power to something or someone who isn’t worth it.
Are you living a positive life?
I always pray before reading my bible and just flip it open anywhere and begin to read. Nothing happens by chance to me especially when it comes to the bible. So, there was Esther chapter 4:16 I began to read it and there I, was amazed and even more empowered by another woman in the bible. They called her Esther.
Esther risked her life to see the king. Am I any better than Esther? Here she is this young woman standing up for her people not letting fear control her. She laid her life on the line, that means everything she had didn’t have much value as much as her voice did. She was a courageous woman taking a stand for what she believed in. Not letting anyone back her out of it. She put forth her faith took a stand and went forth.
Are we truly taking a stand for what we believe in? Are we telling the world to pray for me I am going on a mission and if I happen to perish don’t worry I, am not afraid. Are we doing what God is telling us to do, or are we standing in the dark hoping for the King to spot us out in a crowd of billions; or are we standing on the front line spreading Gods message and completing out our mission God has assigned us. God is looking for an Esther; to lay everything aside and tell the world if I perish let me perish, but my King has a mission for me and I can no longer be afraid.
Are you taking a stand?
Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish
Have a Blessed Sunday
You open your eyes after falling asleep maybe 3 hours ago, it’s time for the kids to go to school. You slowly move to get out of bed because your body aches, don’t let the weather be shifting outside or you may wake up stiff too. Your feet hit the floor and you say “Oh God, please help me”.
Most chronic pain sufferers start their day this way, it’s hard to have pain day after day. Having to be a regular on the doctors’ visit list. Having to take pain meds that mostly make you sleep and you miss out on daily living. Having tears drop and you hurry up and wipe them away because you don’t want your family to see the hurt inside.
This morning I, open my eyes and asked God for something encouraging to say to you all today. Something that you can hold on too, He whispered to me”Rest in Me, My Love”. When He said, my love, my heart sank, not just rest in me but, you are His love, the apple of His eye.
God loves us so much, never forget His love is never-failing. May He wrap you in His loving arms.
Blessings and Happy Wednesday 💜
I want to share a piece of something that started my healthy living journey with my Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I was at my lowest looking for a way out, the pain was eating away at my body. I came in contact with the Daniel fast.
The Daniel Fast is a 21 day fast that consists of only fruit and vegetables. There are more ideas that I will discuss later on. I have tried to do this fast with only the food portion of it but it doesn’t fulfill the purpose of the fast. The fast must be done as a duo with the eating and study of the Bible.
During this fast I had more energy, I was able to focus, lose weight, ease my pain and most importantly closer to God.
I want to take you on a journey with me, I am starting the Daniel Fast again December 1st, 2016. Matter of fact I have a countdown going on my page. If you would like to join in you can but it is not required.
Starting December 1st, I will be posting daily recipes and journaling day-to-day while posting meaningful scriptures. Pray, this inspires you to get a fresh start.
I was sitting on my bed, and decided to start a devotional journey. I am a young woman speaking from my heart, I will be writing whatever flows out. I will be doing a devotional through psalms, proverbs and job to start my journey and finish 2016 and the ending of 2017.
Is the Grass Greener or Artificial?
1. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth, he meditates day and night.
Are your eyes focused on the people who have more money, bigger house, driving a fancy car, better marriage or maybe even better health than you? In Psalms 1:1 it says “Blessed is the man”… The man who walks in God’s word not gazing or making a wish list for something you’ve seen someone else have. But the man that is happy and content with where he is in his/her life and what God has currently blessed them with. Sometimes it can be difficult not to glance over at their grass wishing for better, but it would be hurtful to get there and realize everything was artificial.
Artificial because they didn’t use the necessary tools to grow their grass the right way. Instead, they took a different path; went to the store and bought their own grass to make it seem as if they took the time and effort to grow it. I say this because many of us are looking over at artificial grass it looks nice and green but it’s really dead underneath. No, fertilizer was ever planted just dirt covered up by material happiness.
Our happiness comes from God during any situation we can dig into God’s word water ourselves and grow. Real happiness is deep down within, it can’t be covered with material things. We must take time and effort and patiently wait for our own grass to grow by meditating day and night on God’s word.
What makes you happy?
The mind is such a powerful piece of us, we use it daily. Some days we can’t sleep because it is constantly moving. The mind is so powerful it can be a jail cell to our dreams, it locks us up keeping us away from things that can make big changes in our lives and others. I am a victim.
A victim to a disabling mind that had been bound for years. Afraid to step out and be me because of the fear of what people would say and how they would treat me.
This world has the game so twisted it’s causing people to take their lives every day. It’s okay to be different! It’s okay to walk the earth knowing I am a Christian and no I can’t do the things I use to do. Is it because you are a Christian? No, it’s because when I walk into a room I feel out-of-place.
I can no longer pretend to be the person you think I am. I have to be the person God knows I am. Ever since I was a little girl I had a heart for people who were sick, every time an ambulance passes I immediately begin to pray. It’s in me I can’t escape it. I have to step out and start living my life without fear and focused on my passion.
There are so many young girls who are just like I was trying to fit in a pressured society that we were made to stand out in. Ladies the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Sometimes we have to fall and hit our heads a few times in order to learn for ourselves. There are so many times I don’ even have enough fingers to count. I could have died driving home drunk better yet I could have killed someone else. Your life is never a game to be played with, it’s precious and it deserves more from you.
Live freely, be you every day not just when your alone. “Let your light shine” Matthew 5:16. Don’t take years like me to get it together, start early do great things.
Have a blessed Sunday!
Chronic Illness can weigh you down and may be the biggest race you have to run in this life because it is long-lasting. Day after day we suffer from pain that disables us on the outside, but most importantly on the inside. Pain causing you to think differently, react differently and hope differently.
Think back to when you were feeling at your greatest in your body and the way it made you feel. We all want that back, but I wonder if it was meant to be. Not to be in pain forever no one wants that, but to be in a long enough season to reach certain people. People who are hurting just like us, who feel like all hope is lost.
“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
We are here to sympathize with others going through similar situations and be of help to them. Even when we are weak ourselves there is still a work to be done. When others become weak and fatigue during this race, we will step in and give them hope and inspire them. Let them know you are not alone, but we are in this together.
Prayer for today:
Dear God, today I stand in the gap for those who are not able to even pray for themselves, the one’s who feel all hope is lost, the one’s who feel like you have turned your back on them. I pray that you give them strength to hold on to life and to press through this trying season. ” By His stripes, we are healed” and God I believe on your word. Being sick is never an easy burden to carry, you said you wouldn’t put more on us than we could bare. God heal the fatigue, confusion, muscle aches, hurting bones, headaches, stomach problems all of the infirmities that are not of you. I put all of those illnesses on the cross today and leave them in your hands, In Jesus name.
Be helper one to another 🙂
